Emotions We Can’t Explain

How to find peace of mind when people are being difficult.

Ever talk to those people that just know how to hit the pin right where it counts? I have many times, and today is one of those days. Belittling a person can be quite damaging, and I truly believe some people have no idea what they are saying, especially not even giving a thought to expressing words correctly. They don’t realize words can affect that other person, even if they don’t mean. personally, if you are speaking or asking questions and do not like the answer given, it can trigger all kinds of emotions. The reality is, asking the correct way is better for communicating your frustrations.

Language barrier can certainly affect that issue, but we should all choose our words wisely.

For instance: if someone said to you: “I don’t think you know what you are talking about”

how would you feel? Pretty damn insulted, I would think. In my current job, #customerservice, people call and ask questions, which answers are read back verbatim. So it is fair to say that if anyone doesn’t know what they are talking about would be the people who wrote the policies.

Right?

However, the damage is done, and even though people say: “it isn’t you”, you still like a piece of shit because someone verbally stated you are “not competent”.

So tell me: What did you think of my little mess today? leave me a comment.
